I have worked all my career in Animation - my experience from this helps me when sculpting, as I have an understanding of anatomy, movement and line. I specialise in animal sculptures, all being hand-built in stoneware clay. In some pieces I use the technique of scraffito – drawing directly into the slip before the first firing. I then paint coloured glazes into the drawn line before firing the piece for a second time.
